Easter Bunny Cupcakes!
Hello to all you followers out there! Hey, it's Holly and it's been a while since I tipped.

Yeah, you're probably all going wha?! Because there is 2 Holly's on this account. I took a break from polyvore because my parents split up and it was horrible for me (still is but wey hey im here!)

ANYWAY.. Freya has done an A-MA-ZING job of keeping everything running smoothly and I thank her for that. The other girls have been amazing with all their tips and I love them all.
ANYWAYS i wont ramble on any more so ON TO THE TIP...

As it's almost Easter (yaychocolate!) I thought it would be cool for an easter treat. So here is a receipe on how to make Easter Bunny Cupcakes!

Bunny cupcakes preparation {24 cupcakes}

~Ingredients~
Cupcakes (recipe down there v)
Pink food color
Frosting (recipe also down there v)
large marshmallows
Pink sugar
Candy decorations and sprinkles, as desired

~Method~
Spoon 1 heaping teaspoonful white frosting on center of each cupcake. To make ears, cut each large marshmallow crosswise into 5 pieces with kitchen scissors. Using scissors, cut through center of each marshmallow piece to within 1/4 inch of edge. Separate to look like bunny ears; press 1 side of cut edges into pink sugar, flattening slightly. Arrange on each of the white frosting mounds as shown. Use candy decorations and sprinkles to make eyes, nose and whiskers as shown. Store loosely covered.

Vanilla cupcake recipe {makes 24 cupcakes}

~Ingredients ~
200g unsalted butter, softened
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup caster sugar
3 eggs
2 1/2 cups self-raising flour, sifted
1/2 cup milk
Pink food colour

~Method~
- Preheat oven to 180°C/160°C fan-forced oven. Line muffin or mini-muffin pans with paper cases.
- Using an electric mixer, beat butter, vanilla and sugar in a small bowl until light and fluffy. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating after each addition (mixture will separate at this stage). Transfer mixture to a large bowl. Stir in half the flour. Stir in half the milk. Repeat with remaining flour and milk until combined. Add a few drops of pink food colouring and stir in.
- For 1/3 cup-capacity muffin pans use 2 level tablespoons of mixture. Bake for 15 to 17 minutes. Alternatively, for 1 tablespoon-capacity mini muffin pans use 1 tablespoon mixture. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.
- Stand cakes in pans for 2 minutes. Transfer to a wire rack to cool.

White frosting {makes enough for ?? cupcakes}

~Ingredients~
1 cup sugar
3 egg whites
3 tablespoons water
1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
1teaspoon vanilla extract
~Method~
- In a large heavy saucepan over low heat or double boiler over simmering water, combine the sugar, egg whites, water and cream of tartar. With a portable mixer, beat mixture on low speed for 1 minute. Continue beating on low speed over low heat until frosting reaches 160°, about 8-10 minutes. Pour into a large bowl; add vanilla. Beat on high speed until frosting forms stiff peaks, about 7 minutes.
- Split the frosting up (just over half in one bowl) and add a few drops of pink food colouring into the bigger bowl.

It's a bit of a higgledy piggledy but thats the recipe! If you have a better recipe for frosting or cupcakes then by all means use that if you would prefer!

I hope you all have fun with the cupcakes! :)

Peace out! ✌
~Holly xx

Pop Art Nails!

Pop Art Nails!
Hey it's Holly!xo (@rainbow-ninja-bunny)!

So I've decided to do a series of tips on nails. The first will be this one, Pop Art Nails. Then ..... well they're a secret but I hope you like them :)

So here we go:

O1) Start with a white base

O2) Make some spiky explosions with yellow and blue (like the nails on the left in the picture). Take your time to keep them neat and sharp.

O3) Outline the blue and the yellow with black to make it stand out (like in the picture). Use the smallest brush possible.

O4) Now fill in the remaining white bits of the nail with red dots. Try to make them all the same size and line them up.

O5) Do this for all the nails apart from the thumb and ringfinger.

O6) For the thumb and ringfinger, write some loud words like 'Ka-pow', 'Boom', 'Crash', 'Zap'... Pick a word that will fit on the nail.

O7) Have a white base and write your chosen word in any colour (red works well)

O8) Then outline the word in black so it looks 3D.

O9) Draw an explosion around the words with black and fill the background in yellow.

1O) Finish with a topcoat! If you're using acrylic paint then make sure to cap the ends to prevent chipping

11) And..... Ta-Da! Hope you like your nails! ^_^

If this confused you... Here's a video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=stlVHaHumKs

How to Make Butterscotch Cookie Bars

How to Make Butterscotch Cookie Bars
Hey y'all!

It's Domi // @brownyies-and-niall again

I like food, so heres how to make butterscotch cookie bars.

Ingredients:

2 sticks butter

2 eggs

3/4 cup brown sugar

2 1/4 cups flour

1 teaspoon salt

1 package of butterscotch chips

Directions:

Beat butter, eggs, sugar, and brown sugar together using an electric mixer.

Next add flour and salt.

Finally, on the mixer’s lowest setting or by hand, add the butterscotch chips.

In a greased 9-by-13-inch pan, bake cookie bars at 350 degrees or until golden brown.

Tips: I use an electric mixer, as it is easier, faster, and yields a more evenly mixed batter than mixing by hand. But if you don’t have an electric mixer, mixing by hand works fine. And if you’re not a butterscotch fan, this recipe works great with chocolate chips too.

Hope you like them!

How To Get Longer, Thicker and Fuller Eyelashes!
Heyaaa! It's Holly!xo (@rainbow-ninja-bunny)

I'm soooooo sorry I haven't been on here recently! I'm also sorry if I don't post as regularly because as I'm in Yr 10, I start all my exams, controlled assessments, mock exams etc etc.... So I've been needing time to revise as well as trying to have a social life -.- Ahhh I hate exams!

Anyway.... This tip is about how to get longer, thicker and fuller eyelashes!!

O1. When I was looking at ways to grow your eyelashes, I noticed that a lot of people recommended that Vaseline makes your eyelashes longer. If you apply this on your eyelashes before you go to bed (mainly put the Vaseline on the roots and then wash off the Vaseline when you wake up in the morning) and do this for a few weeks, it can make your eyelashes grow and appear longer!

O2. Take off all your make-up before you go to bed and especially focus on your eye make-up and making sure it's all gone before you go to sleep.

O3. Don't curl your eyelashes when you have mascara on. This will break and weaken the eyelashes. You wont notice eyelashes falling out because they've been squashed all together with the mascara but they will break off when you remove the makeup so don't curl your eyelashes after you've applied mascara!

O4. You can wear fake lashes and mascara to make your eyelashes look longer but this can be a bad thing because the make-up could cause your eyelashes to fall out and could make them smaller (because either they've fell out because of the mascara and grew back so they weren't as long as before or because you've gone from one extreme to the other by applying mascara to make your eyelashes longer then taking off the mascara and they look smaller because your're used to seeing them long with the mascara). I'm not saying you shouldn't wear mascara but just don't wear too much so you keep your original eyelashes healthy, long and so they don't fall out :)

O5. Some people recommend Lash Serums which can make your eyelashes grow.

O6. If you put eyeliner at the roots of your eyelashes, they can make your eyelashes seem more volumised and longer.

Well I hope these helped! I don't know how well they will work because everyone has different eyelashes that grow at different rates so one of these may work well for you but not for someone else but I have included the main ones that I have seen a lot of people talking about and recommending!

Baby Lips Lip Balm Review

Baby Lips Lip Balm Review
The product reads:

It nourishes and repairs dry and cracked lips, Our exclusive formula moisturizes lips for a full 8 hours. Lips renewed in 1 week.

My Thoughts:

It has a smooth texture once applied so it doesn’t leave your lips sticky or oily. It absorbs quickly into your lips to leave them smooth and hydrated.
You can apply lipstick, but you don't really need to since it colors you lipps already. Also if you apply more than one coat it will start to look like lip gloss.
I’ve read other reviews of people with really dry and chapped lips and this has worked well for them. The only thing that I don’t particularly like is the grainy texture it has when you first apply it, although, once blended and warmed up on your lips it absorbs fine. The smell is varies, but the scent I got was Coral Crush. It smelled really fruity which is quite pleasant and there is no taste. It would be good to use in winter to prevent dry lips and to maintain nice, smooth lips.

Rating:

Product: 4 out of 5
Packaging : 3.5 out of 5
Quality: 4 out of 5
Price: 3 out of 5
Overall: 4 out of 5
Would I buy again? Yes

10 Digital Camera Tips & Tricks

Three months ago - 1,485 views
10 Digital Camera Tips & Tricks
Hey!!!!

It's Domi // @brownyies-and-niall

This set is gonna be about photography. Yay! Woo.

1. Speed Up Your Camera

First find the "burst" or continuous mode in the menu system and engage it so the camera automatically clicks as fast as it can.

One of the biggest camera complaints—especially for affordable compacts—is speed or lack of it. This will partcially solve your problem with that if not fully.

2. Great Portraits—Almost Every Time

The next time you're taking a portrait, make sure the flash is set to "Fill Flash" or "Forced Flash," depending on your specific model.

Now the flash will fire when you press the shutter and evenly illuminate the targeted face, eliminating any shadows. Also use this setting when you're outdoors at the beach or a picnic, especially if there's strong sunshine and harsh shadows.

3. One of the Biggest Things To Avoid

Digital Zoom.

Your worst enemy in photographs. Although you can extend your camera's basic zoom using this feature your pictures will look awful. With a digital zoom a center portion of the view screen is enlarged, adding loads of yucky digital artifacts especially at extreme ranges.

4. Battery-Saving Tricks

Obviously, charge your camera overnight before you hit the streets. However there are ways to squeeze some extra life from your battery if you see a warning. If your camera has Wi-Fi or a built-in GPS, turn them off completely. Also if you have optical image stabilization, turn that off too. You may get a shaky shot but at least you'll have something. Turn down the brightness of the LCD screen too. Remember that Review Photo setting mentioned earlier? Make sure that's turned off as well. Don't turn your camera on and off in hopes it'll last longer—it won't as you use more juice booting up your camera. Also most cameras have a sleep mode; cut the time to around a minute.

5. Turn This On

Grid Lines are hidden on many cameras and they're well worth using. Typically when you're framing a shot on the LCD screen, you should keep the horizons straight but it's hard to do properly. With grid lines you can do it easily by lining up the horizons. Landscapes, group shots and vertical images will look much more professional.

6. Always Shoot Best Quality

You would think manufacturers set cameras at best quality as the default for stills and videos but unfortunately that's not always true. Make sure image quality (resolution or pixels) is the highest available then check compression, if it's available. You might see a number of stars, or words like Good, Better, Best. Always choose the highest level since less compression means fewer digital artifacts in other words a more accurate image. The same holds true for movies.

7. Don't Be So Sensitive

Manufacturers love to brag about the sensitivity of their cameras, claiming they can shoot in very low light. In some cases this is true but in most it's not. Sensitivity is measured by an ISO rating, ranging from 100 to 16,000 or more. When a camera is in Auto, it'll pick the ISO setting and in low light, it will use the highest number. For many models, particularly point-and-shoots, this is a recipe for disaster as digital noise—speckles—are introduced to the image and color shifts so it's barely recognizable. If your camera has an ISO limit, set it to a maximum of 400 or 800 since your results will be much more pleasing. If you're feeling adventurous, I suggest you do some informal testing of the various ISO settings indoors without the flash. Review them on your monitor and see where the quality falls off. I've used cameras where 400 is the limit, others where 3200 or 6400 is solid.

8. Hollywood Tips

Hollywood DPs (Directors of Photography) work for years perfecting their craft but you can capture clips that are just fine for YouTube and the family HDTV. First, keep your camera horizontal at all times, set to best quality and with image stabilization engaged (if available). Resist the urge to quickly zoom in and out and do not abruptly move it from side to side. If you want to pan a nice landscape, always move the camera from left to right and do it slowly.

9. Play Is Good

The beauty of every digital camera is the simple fact you can take hundreds of shots almost instantly. You can press any combination of buttons you want and even if your photos are ready for the Delete pile, just erase them and start all over again. Cameras are very forgiving, even if you think they'll never work properly again. Press Menu, go into Setup and hit Reset All if you're really lost in the digital woods. Your camera will now have the manufacturer's defaults and you can start all over again. And in the rare instance your camera freezes up, take out the battery, pop it back in again and hit the power button. Things should be as good as new.

10. Check Your Settings Before You Press the Shutter

No matter if you have a basic point-and-shoot like the Canon PowerShot 300 HS or an advanced Nikon D7000 DSLR, the first thing you absolutely must do is check your camera settings right after you press the "on" button. The last time you used it might've been at night or indoors and you left the settings for that type of shot. Or your kids/partner/whomever was using it and fiddled with the buttons and dials. This can ruin your next series of shots if the conditions aren't right, perfect for a Homer Simpson D'oh! moment. Make sure you start off in Auto/intelligent auto then make the changes you like—if any at all. Many of today's newer cameras have very sophisticated intelligent auto settings. Make sure you use them to avoid "shoulda coulda" moments.

Okay that's it's!

party series O1 ♥
hello amazing people, it's freya with another tip for you. this tip is showing you all the different outfit ideas you can wear to all sorts of parties like birthdays, formals etc. this will be a three tip series, one will be makeup and another hair.

i have heaps of new ideas for tips so i will be on every day. i'm sorry that i have stopped making daily sets for you guys :(

----------------------------------------------------------

O1;; Casual Party
♥- Knit sleeve chiffon top || forever 21 || $15.8O
♥- BDG abstract leggings || urban outfitters || $39
♥- Hot options marz ankle boots || target || $5O
♥- Silver plate panel necklace || diva || $19.99

This outfit is really cute but casual. A simple top with patterned jeans/leggings is a perfect duo. If the weather is colder, pair with a denim or leather jacket. For shoes I would suggest either ankle booties or flats. To finish of the outfit, add a statement necklace and you're complete.

O2. Formal Party
♥- Bandage bodycon dress || forever 21 || $32.8O
♥- Patent trim platform heels || forever 21 || $26.8O
♥- Birds of a feather drop earrings || diva || $9.99
♥- Vine wrapped diamante ring || diva || $12.99

This outfit is simple yet very classy. Try a tight bold dress then pair with a darker pair of pumps or heels. To accessorise, go for earrings or a necklace. With cooler weather, add some tights and a blazer.

O3. Costume Party
♥- Swiss dot georgette dress || forever 21 || $27.8O
♥- Red headband || tangojewellery.com || $11.99
♥- Dotted hearts sheer tights || forever 21 || $4.O6
♥- Miss charlotte beige apron || kitchendelights || $39
♥- Pointed faux suede flats || forever 21 || $24.8O

This outfit is alice in wonderland themed. I know it's not exactly her outfit but the style is very similar. There is also the option of buying a costume online or getting one made specially for you but these can be on the pricey side. For this outfit, I've picked a very girly dress. There is then the option of adding an apron. I've then added a red headband, knee high tights and some black flats. I think this outfit is super cute and easy and I'm in love with it.

Well, I hope this helped some of you. Talk soon!

F o r e v e r and A l w a y s,
Freya xoxo
